On second thought, if my asshole mentality's going to piss someone off every other time I express myself in public I might as well just take it elsewhere for everyone else's sake. There's no point in apologizing and trying to redeem myself for an honest mistake that doesn't reflect my worldview at all because it'll just happen again, because it always does.

People remember the incensed fuckups that happen when I'm still enraged over having all my irrational insecurities validated by complete strangers IRL and not the sincere apologies that happen when I'm thinking reasonably afterwards. Do you know how frustrating that is?

Those of you who know me (or have debated with me) know what kind of person I am. You know that even though I come off as stupid and close-minded I try my best to forgive everyone who takes a swing at me, that I always come forward with a truce in an argument, that I don't actually mind when other people discount my opinions because I value theirs.

This applies to Internet people but just as much to the individuals who gave me crap for no reason while I was buying my dinner today. They did me wrong but I'm sympathetic to their positions in life because they too are in the social minority and probably will suffer or have suffered the same abuse from others just because of who they are. That's why I didn't try to insult them back or defend myself. Yes, I vented off my anger here and yes I used an inappropriate term to describe the person who was most passive-aggressive towards me--a young woman with a notably masculine appearance and an extremely deep voice. Do I think her being transsexual or a crossdresser had ANYTHING to do with her being an asshole? NO. I was just caught up in my own repressed anger and the word "tranny" slipped out as I was venting my feelings. And people understandably took personal offense to that. It was hypocritical of me to refer to another person with a potentially offensive term when I myself had just been told that I didn't belong in the United States, the country of my birth (presumably because of my ethnicity). I'm sorry. It was stupid of me. One of my own peers whom I regard very highly is a ftm individual, so I should've known better.

Right now I just need a break from dealing with any more strangers. I'm vitriolic enough right now that I'm afraid I might lose my patience with someone who doesn't deserve it.

Friends only from now on, comment if you want to be added and have the balls to put up with shenanigans and badly-drawn penises.

I completely forgot I was leaving for a trip in a couple days, with no guarantee that I'll have internet. Being that today, there is only one week left to turn in artwork - and four people, including myself, haven't - I figure the rest of you will appreciate the extra week.

I would also appreciate it if those of you who owe artwork from previous rounds, or have art to finish, would do so by the new deadline. I would prefer there to not be anything owed, if possible, after the voting. I'll be emailing you all when I am on my own computer.

Art is now due Wednesday, August 6th.

This also so voting can be immediately afterward, and I can be around to handle it.

Also, I sent the two people who volunteered to do the adoptions LJ messages, and am curious if either of you got them. I'll be sending out emails to you both as well.

Call me before Saturday. Call me at the house, cuz I wanna totally get sum lunch with you at Round Table and get their lunch dealie thing cuz I like buffet pizza.

For some reason, I haven't been able to shake this...whatever it was that I caught. I'm not hallucinating with a fever anymore, but I'm still coughing/sneezing/feeling cruddy. I have no idea why, I guess this is just one of those bugs that holds on and fights hard. Uhg.

My mom randomly sent me GH Aerosmith, which was quite an awesome surprise. I guess I had mentioned something about wanting it when I was home for the 4th...my mom's awesome. I know a lot of people are complaining about the GH franchise, but honestly, I think it's a fun game. I liked the track listing - it wasn't the greatest, but it was a lot of stuff I hadn't heard before, and there were a lot of non-Aerosmith songs as well. There's a new mode in this one called "precision mode" aka "you'd better be fucking good mode," which is nifty. Overall it was pretty easy - I beat the game without getting less than 4 stars on only about 5 songs, and 5s on the rest, but there's still replay value - you really have to beat it on every difficulty in order to unlock everything. My only real complaint was that for some reason the game seems to be dropping notes a lot - the original GH3 for PS3 had horrible issues with timing, and I found myself getting insanely better scores on the Wii and Xbox versions. They fixed the timing in this version, but for some reason there seems to be a lot of hitting a note and then getting it dropped. Hmmmmmmmm.

Weekend was good - saw Dark Knight, which everyone is raving about, and I'm predicting that Heath Ledger gets an Oscar for his role, because damn.

I still haven't seen Dr. Horrible, just haven't really had time, and I know the site's down but I'm sure it'll still be avaialble somewhere. I really want to find out if it is so called "better than Firefly."

One of the things that's nice about the bay is that the mornings are usually cloudy and cool; I'm looking out the window and the sky is grey! Grey skies in July make me quite happy, though we haven't had any rain yet and we definitely got some last year. Stupid California being in a drought.

I gotta head to class pretty soon - I missed both days last week, so I really need to be there.

For those of you that replied to my last entry I just wanted to thank all of you, every bit of advice was helpful, and especially Hibbary, how are you such a wise owl of a person? 8| I appreciate your brutal honesty too, and it gave me ideas.

I have decided that I am going to just suck it up and try to focus on doing my own thing and not worry about something as petty as that. There are people out there that deal with much worse and I am lucky all I have to worry about is dog-lips. 9_9 I do feel kind of silly about it, I already feel more over it than I was last night.

And oddly enough, I feel like drawin'.

Okay. Usually people ask me if I like Avatar and I never say no, I liked the episodes I saw, but I never see them in order cuz I am so bad at keeping up with TV shows. So I just kinda saw random episodes here and there and kind of sorta got what was going on. Well this marathon thing is like... WOAH. I am still missing big chunks of information as I miss a few episodes but I still kind of get what is going on and I realize that I REALLY LIKE THIS SHOW. ALOT. ALMOST EVERY PART OF IT, I LIKE.

I EVEN LIKE THE GIRLS. AND THAT TAKES A LOT. I HATE FEMALE CHARACTERS IN MOST SERIOUS SHOWS.

Yes. I even like his girlfriend, which is like A PHENOMINON with me. I never accept my love-interest's girlfriend but Mai is pretty cool imo.

My camera battery is dying D:. Need to find the spare. It only lasts about a minute and a half after a fresh charge.

Buuut, I did get two decent pictures. I want to show my polleni grouper c:. Months ago I said I'd never get one because of their swim bladder issues and price, but after that I got one XD;;. He was rather cheap for a polleni, and I figured that even if he shows symptoms of being decompressed poorly, I could always try to decompress him myself... I've seen it work in some cases.

Luckily he never had any issues XD. I've had him for 4 months now, and I think it's safe enough to say he's fine. The stripes are actually purple. The flash just makes them blue. Had to use flash because he's usually hanging out under overhangs (being a hind and all...).

Ahhh playing Digimon World has now taken away my need for WoW, for the moment. Sweet wonderful Digimon World 83 I got an Ultimate on my first try! 8D YAY!

Today I went to AAA and picked up the sticker for my license plate so now I won't get pulled over for no registration! WOO! I can make a legal trip to Sacramento to pick up people.

WHICH brings me to another topic:
I am really. Really. REALLY excited to have both Savannah AND Mementos(his owner anyhow) in my house for girly artistic hang out time 83 AND there is a good chance the lake will be open for swimmins by then, so I am like YAY! It will be fun to have people to hang out with =v=

I've long been a fan of Old Technology, so naturally I had a Betamax player that I'd kept around for years. However, when I finally got a hold of tapes for the damn thing, I found it wouldn't play back at all, it instead ate the tapes. So I put in a request at the local warehouse of awesome for them to hold a Beta player for me if they ever got one in. About two months later, I got a phone call saying that they received a tested WORKING player, so today, we brought it home.

These aren't my photos, because I'm currently sick and therefore being lazy.







The model number is Sony SL-8200 - apparently, the first and only Beta player ever made with two recording speeds, to allow for two hours of recording, as opposed to one, which was where Beta was losing to VHS. It was introduced in 1977, so not only is it 31 years old, but it's HUGE - we're talking massive. I'm guessing it weighs a good 50 pounds, and it's the size of a small child. It's awesome.

I did some net digging and found that it retailed for about $900 when it was introduced, and to buy the same model today is the same price, apparently - couldn't find this one on eBay, only from serious collectors. The downside is, while it plays anything that's L-500 speed and under, the newer speed B3, introduced only a year later, won't play back on it. I'm not sure what the standard is for home video, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get a hold of some tapes (things like Star Wars, etc.) that'll be playable.

And now, back to concept arting, and hoping I'll be well enough for work tomorrow.

Oh WoW. I am so bored I am considering playing you. But there is nothing to do on you :c All my friends are on alliance, and I hate alliance. To play with other friends I have to be on different servers, yet I hate starting new characters and doing all those quests again. If I had the $25 to spare I would transfer my beloved Hunter to a different server since Bonechewer is not in my interests anymore. But what server would I put him on?

And I should use this $15 for food or gas, but I am so painfully bored 8C

Updates!

The community-wide vote is fast approaching. I will be sending out emails in a week or so to get opinions on how it should work..or if it'll even happen, since three months is probably a long enough time for people to change their minds.

I'm also kind of curious why there are so few people are participating now, but I suppose not getting anyone new for a couple of months can do that to a community. As soon as this round is over, I really hope things get started back up again.

Comments are screened so kitoxa will get a surprise person, or if people would like to share their opinions on voting or whatnot.

I think I will bake a cake for myself tomorrow.
